Abstract
Lomonosov has always been regarded in his country as the founder of Russian sciencde. In the Soviet Union his work and biography are taught in the schools. Outside his country Lomonosov is less known; for the foreign readers of my address ‘Lomonosov and World Science’ I shall therefore dwell briefly on this great man.
