Abstract
The discussion to be carried out in this concluding part of the book will primarly be motivated by some problems characteristic of modern physics, notably of quantum mechanics. Our main task will be to reconsider once more the concept of an empirical system. Still, before we do that let us examine what consequences may be brought about as the result of dropping out an assumption which thus far we have tacitly been accepting in our considerations concerning testing procedures.
