Abstract

The problems of systemic chemotherapy and its effects on both central nervous system (CNS) neoplasms and the nervous system itself are enormous. There are little data available (although that does not prevent many of us from having strong opinions), and there are many areas of controversy. What I would like to do in this discussion is address very briefly 3 aspects of systemic chemotherapy and the CNS, reviewing what some of the available data are and, in addition, what some of the problems which face us in the future might be.
