Abstract
Sodium is probably important in the etiology of hypertension, but its role needs further clarification. The results of previous studies have been controversial and the nature of the relationship between salt and blood pressure is still unknown. Among the many factors that cause this controversy is the difficulty of measuring sodium intake.
