Abstract

The presently accepted treatment for apparent early stage prostate carcinoma is radical surgery. However, of late, some centers that have extensive experience with irradiation for control of locally advanced prostatic carcinoma have suggested that early prostatic carcinoma may be adequately treated by one of several methods of radiotherapy and even some locally advanced cases may actually be cured by this method of treatment.
