Abstract

Undescended testes are comprised of two main groups:retractile or truly maldescended. Retractile testes are due to a hyperactive cremasteric reflex and will descend with maturation. Approximately 70 percent of children examined for testicular maldescent have this type of testicular abnormality which does not require surgery.
