Abstract

The resource bases and resources of the various energy forms of natural resources have been discussed. It is now opportune to consider the transformation of resources to reserves. This is effected by exploration, discovery and initial development. Development leads to production but the determinants of production are somewhat different and more precise than those of exploration.
