Abstract

Marginal corneal ulcers are frequently associated with conjunctivitis. Corneal periphery may be involved by direct encroachment of conjunctival disease. In other cases marginal keratitis may be a manifestation of metabolic and metastic or allergic manifestation of systemic disease (Duke-Elder and Leigh, 1965).
