Abstract

Since 1979, we have been testing a new echograph for ophthalmology (Triscan E03, Biophysic Medical) with a digital memory (Fig. 1). This device has been used for a long time on instruments for general echography and at last is accessible to ophthalmologists in a commercially available unit. The freeze-frame allowed by the memory can be used in D-mode (isometric display), A-mode and in B-mode where the grey scale of 16 levels is invaluable.
