Part of the book series: Documenta Ophthalmologica Proceedings Series ((DOPS,volume 29))

Abstract

Equipment parameters may limit the range of useful application of ultrasonic apparatus and transducer probes in ophthalmic ultrasonography. The reliability of ultrasonic diagnosis depends on close-to-optimum parameters and their maintenance. Therefore, the International Electrotechnical Commission, as well as AIUM and other national groups, have developed drafts on measurement of these parameters.
