Comparative Measurements on Ultrasonic Pulse-Echo Equipment with the Echosimulator

Part of the book series: Documenta Ophthalmologica Proceedings Series ((DOPS,volume 29))

Abstract

Conditioned by the historical development, today’s ophthalmological diagnostic ultrasonic instruments differ considerably in their properties. Buschmann (this book) deals in more detail with this subject. Within the scope of standardization, quality control, and further development, enlarged ‘diagnostics’ of diagnostic equipment are nowadays required. Haigis & Till (this book) report about comparative measurements by means of test reflectors. I want to demonstrate in addition some measurement results gained with the ECHO-SIMULATOR, which we reported about during SIDUO VII.
