Abstract

Ultrasonic examination in vitreous hemorrhage has been highly evaluated, because this diagnostic method can provide exact information on anatomical changes in the vitreous. The information is very useful in differential diagnosis from retinal detachment as well as in decisions on vitreous surgery. Echographic findings in vitreous hemorrhage in human eyes have been studied by many researchers. Findings have also been studied in experimental eyes. However, changes in findings over a long period of time have barely been studied. It is worthwhile to study with ultrasound changes in the same eye over a long period of time.
