Abstract
Report on the echographical findings in four children suffering from orbital rhabdomyosarcoma.
-
(A)
Quantitative echography (A-scan):
-
irregular structure, poorly outlined borders
very low reflectivity, weak sound attenuation
-
(B)
Kinetic echography (A- B-scan):
-
hard consistency
little mobility
-
(C)
Topographic echography (A- B-scan):
-
no relation to the striated outer ocular muscles
localisation in the temporal-upper (2), temporal-lower (1), nasal-upper (1) quadrant of the orbit
-
(D)
Tissue differentiation (A-scan):
-
no correlation between echographical findings and the histological type of rhabdomyosarcoma
