Abstract
With standardized echography, a combination of standardized A-scan and contact B-scan, more than 80 types of intraocular lesions, mostly of the posterior segment, can be detected and differentiated. Standardized A-scan is used in the basic examination to detect or rule out a lesion. If a lesion is found, special techniques, i.e., topographic echography, quantitative echography and kinetic echography, are applied to localize, measure and differentiate the lesion.
