Abstract
The principal theoretical concept for the development of a quantitative theory of the radiation regime in plant stands has been to model the stand as a horizontally uniform anisotropic turbid plate medium. This concept assumes a random distribution of plant organs and uses the Poisson distribution. This allows using the mean values of radiation characteristics alone.
