Digital Image Processing

Part of the book series: NATO Advanced Study Institutes Series ((ASIC,volume 77))

Abstract

A survey of some digital image processing techniques which are useful in the analysis of remotely sensed imagery, particularly Landsat, is presented. An overview of the various steps involved in computer automated processing of Landsat imagery is first given. A number of specific tasks, which employ digital image processing methods are then discussed: on-board processing, radiometric corrections, geometric transformation, image enhancement and multitemporal analysis.
