Summary

Power conditioning in small photovoltaic systems is des cribed in the paper. A pilot installation has been built including a low cost dc-dc switching converter, a dc-ac static inverter, a sun tracking system for reference purposes and electronic devices to test, control and register the main electrical parameters. A design methodology has been developed based on a simple program that can be stored in nowadays pocket calculator.
