Abstract

This paper presents the activities and applications in photovoltaics field in China. It contains the historical development, technology status, including the research and development of various types of silicon solar cells and compound semiconductor solar cells, applications in various fields as buoys and lighthouses of navigation guide, signal in railway, electrical wire fence and photo signal sensor. Finally, future perspective in the application is given.
