Abstract
The realization that theileriosis of cattle is caused not only by Theileria parva but is often complicated by other Theileria spp. has brought renewed interest in the role of wildlife in the epidemiology of theileriosis. Most of the 40 plus species of wild Bovidae in East Africa have been shown to harbour theilerial parasites.
