Abstract
Since 1923 it has been accepted that only two Theileria spp., T. mutans and T. annulata, occur in Northern Sudan. There is no record of definite isolation and identification of these parasites in experimental animals. This paper describes attempts to characterise Theileria spp. isolated from Gezira Province in Northern Sudan.
