Abstract
Although there is no record of systematic serological surveys on distribution of Theileriosis in the Sudan it is generally accepted that Theileria mutans and T. annulata are endemic in Northern Sudan and only T. mutans occurs in Southern Sudan. In the south, presence of T. annulata is doubtful and T. parva is only known to occur occasionally; cattle originating from Uganda generally being held responsible for introducing the parasite.
