Cholescintigraphy in Obstructive Disease

  • Chapter
Cholescintigraphy

Part of the book series: Developments in Nuclear Medicine ((DNUM,volume 1))

Abstract

Cholescintigraphy has proved to be a useful tool in evaluating obstructive liver disease (1,2,3,4) even in patients with very high bilirubin levels. Diethyl-Ida has until now been the reagent most widely used but it has been suggested (5) that quantitative studies are necessary for optimal diagnosis.
