Abstract

The principles of cooperation of the socialist countries on fisheries in the Black Sea were determined for the first time in the Agreement on scientific research on fishery biology of the Black Sea and exchange of know-how between Bulgaria and USSR signed 10 April 1951 (entered into force at the moment of signing). According to the Agreement, the Contracting Parties should study the biology, migration and distribution of Black Sea fishes: mackerel, Atlantic bonito, grey mullet, sprat, Black Sea anchovy, horse mackerel, sturgeon, plaice and other fishes, as well as dolphin and marine invertebrates (oysters and mussels).

Address: wherever the Chairman of the Commission is located. At present: Ministry of Fisheries of the USSR. 12 Rozhdestrenski Blvd., Moscow 103045, USSR.
