Abstract

In January 1947 a Conference on fisheries was held in Singapore, where it was decided to ask FAO to establish a corresponding organization for South-East Asia.

Address: Regional Office for Asia and the Far East. Maliwan Mansion Phra Atil Road, Bangkok 2, Thailand.

The 17th Session or IPFC approved the amendment to the Agreement on the establishment of the Council, in accordance with which the name of the organization will be the Indo-Pacific Fisheries Commission.
