Abstract

What does early detection of gastric cancer mean? It probably means the detection of a curable cancer which is not necessarily an asymptomatic lesion. A scirrhous lesion of gastric cancer can become advanced even when it is still asymptomatic and can be already inoperable when it becomes symptomatic.
