Abstract
Nowadays lung cancer is the most common tumour in men. The forms of clinical appearance, diagnostic and therapeutic results of the 2nd and 3rd stages are well-known. It is the occult and early invasive carcinoma which stands in the limelight today. Recently more and more publications were issued demonstrating tumorous cells by sputum-cytology, but there was no sign of tumour to be seen on the chest radiogram. These tumours which can not be observed nor followed by routine examinations are called “occult” carcinomas.
