Abstract

To examine the diagnostic value of analysis of broncho-alveolar cells for diffuse pulmonary interstitial diseases, we performed both broncho-alveolar lavage and transbronchial biopsy in patients with diffuse pulmonary interstitial diseases, and compared the broncho-alveolar cell pictures with histological findings in the biopsy specimens.
