Abstract

The open lung biopsy has proved so useful in diffuse lung diseases presenting diagnostic problems.(1) In addition to it, transbronchial lung biopsy( TBLB) has been introduced for the same purpose in recent years.(2) This article describes the utility and limitation of TBLB applied to various lung diseases with bilateral diffuse shadows on chest roentgenogram.
