Abstract

Computers, from very large machines to tiny chips are invading the whole range of activities in our societies. They are used for management, production, scientific calculus, everyday life and leisure. They are capital goods as well as consumer goods. They may introduce radical changes in the working processes and the living conditions of a large number of people.
