Abstract
Pain in the arm is a very common complaint. It is either brachial neuralgia — pain travelling down the whole arm usually due to a cervical disc lesion — or else localized pain in the shoulder, elbow wrist or hand. There may be a combination of these, for instance, pain referred from cervical spondylosis may summate with a tennis elbow, and perhaps also a carpal tunnel syndrome. This chapter’s main message is that for adequate and effective treatment we must recognize all sites from which brachial pain is derived.
