Abstract
A wrong position of the eyes may prevent light beams of a fixation object from falling on normally corresponding areas of the retina. This can be remedied only by correction of the eye’s position or by a change in the direction of incidence of the beams (Flick 1975). In order to apply the second method the use of a prism is recommendable (Aichmair 1978).
