Abstract

It is a special pleasure to have Professor Rudolf Kalman appear among the invited lecturers at the 25th Anniversary Symposium of the Econometric Institute. Professor Kalman discusses his recent thinking on the methodological questions that arise in the analysis of empirical data. As many researchers must be aware, Professor Kalman does not hesitate to reproach economists in severe terms for their lack of awareness of these issues.
