Abstract

In connection with the period change of the AW UMa system, an A-type contact binary, as it was indicated by Woodward (1980) and elaborated by Kurpińska (1980), we try to analyse with the Wilson-Devinney code all accessible light curves of this star before and after the observed shortening of the period.
