Do the Age Differences Given by Relative or Absolute Chronologies of the Most Ancient Meteorites Correspond to Real Age Differences?

  • Conference paper

Part of the book series: NATO Advanced Study Institutes Series ((ASIC,volume 85))

Abstract

Recent results from absolute and relative chronologies of the most ancient meteorites are reviewed in order to analyze if they are significant or not. Use of the various chronometers to analyze the same meteoritic sample is shown to be an interesting approach to retrace the prehistory of meteorites and their environments.
