Queueing Networks and their Computer System Applications: An Introductory Survey

  • Conference paper

Part of the book series: NATO Advanced Study Institutes Series ((ASIC,volume 84))

Abstract

Queueing networks and their properties have been subjected to intensive study in the past ten years. The primary application considered has been the analysis of computer system and computer-communication network performance. We present a brief introductory survey of some of the relevant literature.
