Abstract
The HII region S236 has been observed in the continuum at 50 cm wavelength and in the recombination line H166α at 10 selected positions. A mean electron temperature Te = 7600 K is derived for the nebula and the measured velocity pattern is explained qualitatively in terms of a gas flow from the molecular cloud.
