Abstract
In a recent study in Vancouver, Lin et al. (1978) found that the patterns of help- seeking of psychiatric patients differed significantly among four cultural groups investigated. The groups comprised Anglo-Saxon Canadians, Chinese Canadians, Mid-European immigrants, and Native Indians. The differential patterns of help-seeking would seem to have important implication for planning and implementing mental health services relevant to the culture and socio-economic reality of each group.
