Abstract
In the past few decades the notion of information has been subjected to many penetrating examinations. The term itself has become fashionable and generally accepted. Numerous theories of information that have come into being, as well as their applications to various fields of science, testify to that. Nowadays it would be rather difficult to point out a section of knowledge in which the term ‘information’ is not used.
