Using the example of the new town of Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, this paper poses the following questions:
  • Is the Functional Zoning principle advocated by LE CORBUSIER, which generates a large amount of intracity transportation still valid ?

  • If neighborhoods became again pedestrian oriented, is the radioconcentric principle not to be revived?

  • Should planners not come back to lower and smaller buildings ?
