Mutation Breeding in Faba Beans

Abstract

One reason why problems associated with the production of faba beans have remained unsolved e.g. susceptibility to pests, yield instability, is because the crop suffers from a relatively narrow useful variability. Consequently no drastic improvement in the production of faba beans has occurred in comparison to other crops in the same area, and acreages have diminished in some countries.
