Abstract

The biochemistry of semen is a relatively modern, but rapidly expanding field of reproductive physiology. Apart from the spermatozoa, the seminal plasma and its components have been the subject of many investigations. The accessory organs that secrete the seminal plasma are under hormonal control (Mann, 1974) and any changes in the hormonal level may change its composition (Eliasson, 1973; Mann, 1974). As a result, a change in their influence on the spermatozoa or the egg wil follow.
