Abstract
The manager in agriculture contributes either directly or indirectly to the production and distribution of food and raw materials by using resources. This transformation of resources into products which people want and are prepared to pay for is not an automatic process. It takes place because those in agriculture work and worry about the three classical questions posed by the theory of production, namely what to produce, how much to produce and how to produce.
