Abstract

ESA’s Space Science Department, which used to be called ESLAB, provides the study and project scientist for ESA’s scientific satellite programme. Each year this Department organizes an “ESLAB” symposium and it was decided that the 1982 symposium, held in Toledo, should be devoted to Galactic and Extragalactic Infrared Astronomy.
