Abstract
Over long periods of time the Earth’s climate is not stable but tends to oscillate between two different regimes corresponding to glacial and interglacial states. As we have been in the present interglacial regime since about 10 000 years, it seems a particularly interesting problem of climatic research to investigate the mecanisms responsible for the interglacialglacial transitions.
