Abstract
Results are reported from a large-scale survey of OH in the galactic centre region. The molecular clouds are distributed in a barlike structure at least 2 kpc in diameter. The outer parts of the bar are warped out of the galactic plane, and extend to z-distances of ± 200 pc.
