Abstract
The last decade has seen considerable advances within the field of environmental control engineering where in particular, changes relating to vehicle emission controls have been significant. Modifications made to vehicles have been both innovative and beneficial and much can be learned from the experience of the last few years with regard to future policy in areas of the world where, to date, few changes have been made.
