Summary
The activities carried out consisted in performing statistical analysis on multiyears meteorological datasets, calculating the coefficients of stochastic models and using these models to generate complete SRY’S for three European locations (Vaerlose — Tastrup,De Bild, Carpentras). The computer code BENCH which simulates a domestic hot water system was developed and distributed to the other contractors in the field. Both codes BENCH and BA4 (already available) were run using as input either the original multiyear datasets or the SRY’S generated by means of our method. The results of these simulations were submitted to the Coordinator in charge of comparing them with similar results for other contractors.
The stochastic models proved to be an efficient tool for the generation of SPY’S. A reasonable human and computer effort is needed to calculate the models’ coefficients, which are also very easy to store.
