Abstract
The most intensively studied calciumphosphate implant materials have molar Ca/P ratios between 1.50 and 1.67. Among this group biodegradable calciumphosphate bioceramics have been developed. However, no clear insight exists as yet to the exact relation between material properties of these calciumphosphate ceramics and their biodégradation behaviour.
