Abstract

This chapter begins with a series of diagnostic challenges in the form of generalized or widespread rashes, after which a number of cases of eczema are presented. An assortment of other skin conditions completes the chapter. Skin conditions are commonly seen by the family physician, who needs to be able to diagnose their nature and provide effective management, especially in chronic conditions which so often are accompanied by psychological overtones.
