Abstract
This chapter comprises a series of ear problems, with emphasis on the recognition and management of otitis media; nasal problems, including epistaxis, sinusitis and nasal allergy; mouth and throat problems, including a number of cases of sore throat of varying aetiology; several cases of cough resulting from a variety of causes; and the problem of a bone in the throat. These cases represent some of the most common conditions seen by the family physician.
